The Blythwood Winds present a lively concert all about the art of adaptation with ADAPTIVE BEHAVIOUR at Arrayspace on March 15th. Poetry becomes opera, musical instruments become theatrical characters, and centuries old music becomes the voice of a composer in the present day.

This energetic concert will feature the Ruslan & Ludmilla Overture, arranged for quintet by Blythwood’s very own Curtis Vander Hyden, Quintet by Danish composer Carl Nielsen, American Irving Fine’s Partita for Wind Quintet, and the Quintet for Winds no. 3 by David Maslanka, one of the most challenging and entertaining works for this instrumentation.

Concert takes place at Arrayspace (155 Walnut Avenue, in the Queen West neighbourhood) at 7pm, Sunday March 15. Drinks will be available for purchase.

Tickets: $15 advance (call 647-567-7906) or $20 tickets at the door. The last show at Arrayspace sold out – don’t delay, purchase your tickets today!
