The short, The Mill at Calder’s End, features the imaginative use of bunraku rod puppets to tell its tale of an ancient family curse. In The Long Hair of Death, an Italian feature from 1964, a woman returns in spirit form to keep her daughter from marrying the count who was responsible for her death. Vincent Price stars with Steele in Roger Corman’s 1961 The Pit and the Pendulum, Poe’s story about a murder investigation tied to the Spanish Inquisition.
