Why should barbershop harmonies be limited to quartets? With nearly 50 members, Pasadena Crown City Chorus explores the richness of male four-part harmonies with the vocal vigor of a large ensemble. Now on the eve of its 70th anniversary, the Chorus presents Remember the Days, a nostalgic look back at the music of Al Jolson, Judy Garland, Ray Charles and many more classic artists. Performed with the gusto and precision that has won the PCCC a string of competition wins throughout the state and region, each song is a mini masterpiece of a cappella performance. Featured guests include Allegro, the Chorus’ own critically acclaimed quartet, and The Champinellis, a wonderful new female quartet bursting with enthusiasm and gorgeous voices. You won’t soon forget Remember the Days among the acoustic and architectural splendor of Pasadena’s First Church of the Nazarene.
