April 24th we welcome Daev Clysdale and guests for an evening of traditional Irish tunes. Daev plays Irish traditional music on wooden flute, tin whistle, accordion and piano. He has now been playing, performing and composing music for over twenty years. In 2012, Daev competed in the prestigious Midwest Fleadh Cheoil in Chicago, placing first in tin whistle and third on flute. From there he went on to travel to Ireland, playing against the very best in the world. Recently, he has been touring with the band Rant Maggie Rant and is a frequent musician at Balfolk Toronto.
May 1st Fork and Fiddle Fridays are excited to welcome members of The Barrel Boys for a lively night of Bluegrass tunes. Nathan Smith (fiddle), Tim O’Reilly (bass) & Rob Mclaren (banjo/guitar) are 3 members of The Barrel Boys, a solid staple on the Toronto Bluegrass scene. Their tight harmonies, barn-burning instrumentals, and killer repertoire always keep the bar full and the drinks flowing.
