Blending old-time New Orleans brass band music with cabaret showmanship, Vaud and the Villains’ raucous live shows evoke the lurid glamour and high drama of Prohibition-era big bands. Their over-the-top concerts are part Sunday service, part rock and roll and part circus, and have become an in-demand ticket for music lovers, hipsters and dreamers of all kinds. In the past few years, they’ve toured the world, recorded at the House of Blues, even played Simpsons music at the Hollywood Bowl. The 19-piece band, supported by vaudeville-style cabaret dancers, plays The Canyon in Agoura Hills.
