The legendary Groundlings Theatre troupe presents its latest and greatest main stage show, Groundlings Kung Fu Battle Island, where you’ll find local comedians wielding punchlines and furious fistfuls of fun. Oscar-winning actor, producer and screenwriter Jim Rash — best known as the comically incompetent Dean Pelton on cult hit Community — directs the troupe at L.A.’s Groundlings Theatre. Even if you’re not familiar with the Groundlings, you’re sure to know some of their famous alumni — names like Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Paul Reubens, who created his Pee-Wee Herman character there. The comedian collective’s newest creation promises an evening of sketches, improv and on-the-spot originality.
