Andrew is a young man trapped inside a body he doesn’t recognize. But his decision to match his exterior to what he feels inside will test his already tenuous relationships with his friends, his classmates and his family. Now making its premiere on the Elephant Space Theatre stage, The Snail combines poignant drama with moments of humor to showcase this pivotal, highly charged time in a transgender teen’s life. The play is a co-production between the Italian-American nonprofit Fabulous Dreams and L.A.’s Asylum Theatre.
