Loose TEA Music | Theatre is proud to present Dissociative Me. This inventive take on Gounod’s classic opera Faust has been completly reworked with English dialogue and libretto. In addition to presenting a brand new take on this classical work we are also creating a new type of opera going experience. For our production we are providing comfortable couch seating and encourage our patrons to relax, enjoy a beverage, turn on your phones, talk to your neighbors all while enjoying Dissociative Me.

In Dissociative Me, you will meet John Faustus, PhD. Recent graduate, brilliant, introverted, socially conscious, socially challenged. Seeking a job, unsuccessfully; desperate and in despair; life at a standstill. No place to go. No family he wants to know, no friends that want to know him. He is alone! Or is he?

This four act opera is about a man wants what we all desire; a career, love, a fulfilled life. John, however, has none of these and no prospects to get them. So he decides that if life does not want him, he does not want life either.

Then, just when he is ready to end it all, he is saved by promises of help, a career, love and wealth. Although, at a price!

But will John’s “deal” make him the kind of person he has always dreamt of being? Will it make him the monster he has always had nighmares about?

Find out and enjoy our take on the Faustian pact.

There will be one intermission during the ninety minute production. Our audience will enjoy comfortable seating and bar service during the show.
