Pacific Opera Project is known for offering up opera in unconventional settings, so it’s no great surprise that their new production takes place at the very top of Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale. Verdi’s comic masterpiece, Falstaff, was adapted from Shakespeare’s Merry Wives of Windsor. An unabashed celebration of Merrie Olde England’s lusty days and bawdy nights, the portly Knight of Windsor hatches a plot to improve his love life by courting two different married women, but instead launches a flood of comic chaos and romantic misadventure. Presented in Italian with English supertitles at Forest Lawn Museum’s Esplanade.
