"When Animals Were People"

Always be wary when a wolf invites himself to dinner. From the imaginative world of Tears of Joy Theater, comes two fun and lesson-filled puppet shows with When Animals Were People and The Lazy Bee. In the ancient tale from the Huichol natives of Mexico, a vulture, squirrel and turtle find themselves joined by a hungry wolf while making a delicious stew. But as it turns out, the wolf has a bigger appetite for the other guests than the prepared meal. And when the turtle proves to be the only source of water, the wolf must figure out a way to bring the creature back to life. Following When Animals Were People, is the beloved Argentinian story The Lazy Bee, where a young bee learns the value of hard work from a snake. The whole family will delight in these two bilingual English and Spanish folktales when it takes the stage of Los Angeles’ Theatre Raymond Kabbaz.
