She was Lord Byron’s daughter. She was fascinated by mathematics and technology. And, working with some of the great scientists of her day, she became the first person in an 1843 paper to articulate the concept of computer programming that would come to fruition a century later.

Celebrate the 200th birthday and learn more about Ada Byron Lovelace, with a documentary and discussion, at the Revue Cinema, Sunday, Dec. 6, 3:30 p.m. Tickets: $13 at the door.
