Kir Stefan the Kir Stefan the Serb Choir cordially invites you to the 16th Annual Concert »DEDICATION«

Under the artistic direction of conductor Jasmina Vučurović, Kir Stefan the Serb Choir celebrates its sixteenth concert season. The program for this concert, as it has become a tradition, consists of both sacred and traditional music.

First part of the program:

Requiem in B flat minor

Composer: Stevan Hristić (1885-1958)

Hristić’s Requiem in b-flat minor is considered the cornerstone contributions to the development of Serbian sacred music.

Second part of the program:

Compositions or arrangements by Vojislav Simić, a Serbian musician, conductor, composer and the pioneer of Serbian ethno-jazz.

Simić was born on March 18, 1924, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and is well known as a conductor of Belgrade’s Television Jazz Orchestra, the composer of numerous jazz compositions, traditional liturgical choral and orchestral music, ethno-jazz compositions as well as children’s music.
