Toronto Film Society, established in 1948, is holding its annual spring film festival with a 21-film lineup of rare, classic films, screening at Carlton Cinema from Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 15. This year's feature artist, Ida Lupino, will be celebrated with five films featuring her acting, as well as her directing. Lupino's significance as one of the first woman to direct film, resonates with importance today, as women in film continue to vie for directorial positions. $120 for the full weekend. Day passes for Friday/$50, for Saturday/$50, or Sunday/$45.
