Queering the Dinner Table invites LGBTQ+ people to share their thoughts and experiences about what makes restaurants or other “foodie”spaces welcoming and inclusive. Set in the FABARNAK cafe at The 519, volunteers will invite diners to jot down their ideas, and snap a selfie with their message. Folks passing by the Church and Wellesley area can also stop by FABARNAK’s patio to participate. Photo messages will help to share ideas about inclusion beyond 100 in 1 day, through the Queers for Dinner and The 519 social media. Folks can also share written messages if they don't wish to have their photo taken.

Of course it wouldn't be a queer dinner table fabulous accessories! Volunteers will also have an array of props for participants decorate their dinner table. So whether you're enjoying the café, or just in the neighbourhood, drop by and share your ideas about making Toronto's food scene more welcoming.

Queering the Table is a partnership between Queers For Dinner and The 519.
