Andrea Donaldson (Tarragon Theatre's Associate Artistic Director and Program Director of Nightwood Theatre's Write From the Hip) leads a workshop for actors, playwrights and directors on how to workshop a play. A select number of playwrights will be accepted into the workshop with their in-process texts, and emerging directors and actors will be coached through workshopping the plays. Please be sure to indicate which position you identify with most when you register (playwright, director, or actor).

This workshop is a fundraiser for the first full production of 'Osia' – a new Canadian play by Jijo Quayson that will be presented in the SummerWorks Performance Festival this August. Your entire registration fee goes towards covering our production costs and paying the artists involved in this production. When you register, you are supporting a production which brings together both emerging and established professional theatre artists – putting an emphasis on mentorship and knowledge sharing – and that provides opportunities for local actors of African-Canadian and Caribbean-Canadian descent.
