Medieval Fantasy + No Budget + A Surprisingly Disco Soundtrack = Hawk The Slayer
Hawk is a fantasy epic that's chock-full of silliness. Yes, you've got your elven archer, your super strong mountain of a man, your sarcastic dwarf – and they spend most of the movie wandering around a forest, because when your movie has no budget, everything takes place in a forest. Or if they did have a budget, I reckon it was all blown on the psychedelic rainbow hula hoops that show up mid-way through the movie. As for plot… well, the heroes need to fight Hawk's evil brother Voltan. And they do, eventually! Quick tip to all potential future parents: if you name your son Voltan, he will definitely grow up to be evil. There's no two ways about it.
