Wednesday August 3, 10, 17 and 24, Whitney Ross-Barris and Robert Scott will be performing alongside Lisa Particelli’s Girls Night Out Jazz Jam at 120 Diner (120 Church St.), Toronto`s newest live comedy and music hotspot showcases some of the hottest performers. 6pm – Whitney Ross-Barris and Robert Scott

Whitney Ross-Barris is a prairie-born jazz singer and actor who has performed on stages around the world, from the top of Queen's Park to the bottom of the Wieliczka salt mine in Poland. Recently, Whitney released "Everybody's Here," a jazz album featuring a number of not-so-standard standards, originals and even a few long-lost compositions by her late grandfather, writer-broadcaster, Alex Barris. She lives in Toronto, where she gigs, writes and chases her two adorable young hellions.

Robert Scott is a multi-talented, virtuosic pianist, producer, composer and lyricist. His highly personal and passionate performing style has garnered praise and respect from all corners of the industry. He is known for his virtuosic technique, uncanny eidetic musical memory, and his highly passionate and personal performances. Robert has performed and recorded extensively both as a soloist and as a sideman for many high-profile artists, including Jeff Healey, Michael Bublé, Colin James, Tom Wilson, Kim Stockwood, Bill Cosby, Jane Birkin and Bob Rock.

8pm – Lisa Particelli’s Girls Night Out Jazz Jam

Join host vocalist Lisa Particelli for “Girls Night Out Jazz”, now in its 11th year. Lisa’s GNOJAZZ is a vocalist friendly open mic jam where you can take the stage to sing with resident players Peter Hill on keys and Ross MacIntyre on bass. It’s always a fun and entertaining mid-week night out whether you choose to simply listen or come to sing!

120 Diner is located in the heart of the city and offers fantastic affordable comfort food and good vibes for sensational jazz. There is an amazing line-up each day with a variety of diverse artists throughout August.
