The Toronto Police Service would like make the public aware of an arrest made in a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– between 2015 and 2017, while privately tutoring a then-11-year-old girl, a tutor sexually assaulted the girl on numerous occasions.
On Thursday, November 28, 2019, the Sex Crimes – Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) arrested Ki-Jin Kim, 61, of Toronto.
He was charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
2) Sexual Interference
3) Invitation to sexual touching
He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 1000 Finch Avenue West, in courtroom 301, at 2 p.m.
Police are concerned there may be other victims.
Ki-Jin Kim is currently a Pastor at the North York Sansung Church.
From 1998 – 2001, he was a Sunday School volunteer at the Young Nak Church located at 650 McNicoll Avenue
In 2004, he was an Assistant Pastor at the Manmin Presbyterian Church in Toronto.
He has also worked as a private tutor in Toronto
