Investigators are releasing more information they hope will lead to an arrest in connection with the shooting of a 20 year-old man in a north end neighbourhood yesterday afternoon. Scott Shane Brown of Edmonton has been identified as the city’s 21st homicide victim. At the time of this release the autopsy has not been completed.
Police are looking for a white or tanned skinned male suspect , possibly in his 20’s.  He is described as having a stocky build, and wearing a black hoody, black pants and a black ball cap. The suspect feld south west from the location. The suspect lost both his running shoes and his baseball cap in the area.
 
 
 
While it is early in the homicide investigation, indications are that this was not a random act.

Background:
North Division Patrol members were called to a gun complaint at approximately 3:41 p.m. yesterday in the area of 161 Avenue and 100 Street. The victim of the incident was discovered a short distance away in the area of 158 Avenue and 98 Street. He was transported to hospital where he died about an hour later of injuries he sustained.
