Charges have now been laid in a stabbing that happened just after 5 a.m. on September 14th in front of 77 East Hastings Street.

Danielle Chantelle Nelson, a 24 year old Surrey resident, and Sunset Daphne Dennis, a 32 year old Langley resident, have both been charged with one count of attempted murder. Both are known to police and were scheduled to appear in court this morning at 9 a.m.

The identity of the victim remains unknown and he remains in hospital in a coma after being repeatedly kicked, punched, and stabbed up to 10 times all over his body. Detectives believe the assault lasted for approximately four minutes before officers came upon it.

Medical personnel were able to quickly revive the man when his heart stopped.

Detectives are still working on locating and interviewing witnesses, hopeful they can identify the victim and speak with him at some point.
