Toronto FC will welcome home the Voyageurs Cup on Wednesday 2 June at BMO Field. In front of its home crowd, Toronto FC will officially win its second straight national title after it closes off the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Match Day 6.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC, unbeaten in its three championship matches this year, will finish second behind Toronto FC for the second straight year. It will be looking for a win if for no other reason than to maintain its all-time winning record against its Toronto rival.

The Wednesday match will be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet East and Rogers Sportsnet West at 20.00 ET / 17.00 PT. The match will be streamed via the web on Sportsnet.ca or CanadaSoccer.com, the official website of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship.

The 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship runs six consecutive Wednesday nights from 28 April to 2 June. The championship features Impact Montréal, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. As champion, Toronto FC not only wins the Voyageurs Cup, but also clinches a spot in 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League which begins in late July.

Earlier in the championship, Vancouver and Toronto played to a 0:0 draw at Swangard Stadium on Match Day 4. All time, Vancouver has two wins, Toronto has one win, and both teams have drawn twice.

This year marks the first time that the championship trophy will be lifted on home field. In 2008, Montréal lifted the trophy on the final day in Toronto. In 2009, it was Toronto’s turn to clinch the trophy in Montréal. This year, it will be Toronto FC in Toronto.
