The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying persons responsible for a laser beam being pointed at aircraft in September.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, just after 9 p.m., an Air Canada Jazz and a Westjet flight, both on their final approach into the Calgary International Airport, reported incidents of laser beams entering their cockpits. There were no reported injuries to the flight crews.

The green laser is believed to have originated in the southeast area of Calgary.
