Mounties arrest the driver as woman dies in a submerged vehicle

Last evening, RCMP Windsor Rural Detachment responded to a 911 call advising of a vehicle submerged in a pond in Mosherville, with a woman inside the vehicle.
  
Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP members found a vehicle submerged in a pond with an adult female passenger inside the vehicle.

With the assistance of Brooklyn Fire Department, Windsor Fire Department, Summerville Fire Department and EHS the woman was removed from the vehicle and transported to Hants County Community Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The male driver of the vehicle was arrested at for impaired driving causing death and he remains in police custody. The investigation is ongoing

Names are not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin and the investigation is continuing.
