Willam Edward Hernandez charged with murder of Anthony Holton in Houston

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5151 Edloe about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday (June 6).

The suspect, Willam Edward Hernandez (H/m, DOB: 5-6-88) is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Anthony Holton, 23, of Cypress. Mr. Holton suffered gunshot wounds to the back and right leg and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Wilson and Officers P. Vela and N. Wackman reported:

Mr. Holton and Hernandez were at a party and got into an argument that escalated into a physical fight. Hernandez chased Holton into the parking lot and shot him twice, killing him. Hernandez was then taken into custody at the scene.
