Hamilton Police have arrested a man for robbery after a local pharmacist assists with detaining him.

On Wednesday, October 13th, 2010 at approximately 10:30 a.m., a man armed with a handgun entered a pharmacy in Hamilton’s east-end and approached the pharmacist demanding that he turn over Oxycontin. The pharmacist walked to a rear storage room, followed by the suspect. Once inside the room, the pharmacist exited and locked the door, leaving the suspect locked inside. The pharmacist then called for police assistance.

Division Two patrol officers arrived and without further incident removed the suspect from within the storage room. A loaded 38 cal. handgun was located inside the storage room.
