On Friday, June 27, 2014, members of the Toronto Police Fugitive Squad, assisted by the RCMP and Durham Regional Police Service, arrested international fugitive Witney Hutchinson, 28.

He is currently wanted for murder and is being investigated for another 40 murders by Jamaican authorities.

It is alleged that:

– he fled Jamaica after the murder of Sylvester Gallimore and entered Canada, lawfully, to visit family

On Monday, June 23, 2014, the RCMP contacted the Toronto Police Fugitive Squad to assist with the investigation.

On Friday, June 27, 2014, the accused was observed by members of the Fugitive Squad in the Ajax area. Durham Regional Police Service were contacted.

He was arrested, investigated and taken into custody pending his removal from Canada back to Jamaica.
