Moncton Miracles Upset Halifax Rainmen at Home

Moncton Miracles small forward Akeem Wright puts a jump shot over Halifax Rainmen shooting guard Lawrence Wright on Monday night at Moncton Coliseum. The Miracles won 102-91.The Moncton Miracles beat the Halifax Rainmen at the Moncton Coliseum with a final score of 102-91. 

The first quarter ended with the Miracles being down 34-15. The next 24 minutes the team fought hard until the finally took the lead early in the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter it was a 2-point game with the Miracles taking a 78-76 which the continued to build on in the last quarter. 

Trayvon Lathan was the top scorer for the Miracles with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Boubacar Coly followed with 19 points and 10 rebounds. 

Lawrence Wright led the way for the Rainmen with 16 points. Chris Hagen and Tyrone Levett were right behind him each with 12 points. 

Technical fouls were given to Miracles Sylvania Watkins and Rainmen’s Taliek Brown. Rainmen’s Tyrone Levett was handed two consecutive technical fouls and ejected from the game. Rainmen’s Taliek Brown was fouled out of the game. 

The Miracles play their next game on the road against the Saint John Mill Rats on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. Game time is 7:00pm at the Harbour Station.
