Pakistan wins the first ODI cricket match against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club on Thursday. To this end, Pakistan has succeeded in all the matches played till now which include ODI and a test match. It was a tightly played match by both of the teams but in the end Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 5 runs.
At first glance Zimbabwe batsmen were looking very confident and scored very well but as the game progressed they were unable to keep pace with Pakistani bowling. None of them could manage to score a hundred runs. The total target was 248 runs for Zimbabwe but they managed to reach only 242-7.
New bowlers for Pakistan were very impressive, Aziz Cheema took 3 wickets for 36 runs which included two wickets near the end of Zimbabwe’s innings.
Bowler Junaid held Zimbabwe batsmen to 12 runs on 6 balls.
The man of the match award was given to Younis Khan who scored 78 runs.
