The Toronto Argonauts Football Club has added depth to its defence by signing DS/LB Stewart Franks and DB Reggie Sullivan.

Franks was an All-Conference safety for the Arkansas Pine-Bluff Golden Lions. Originally recruited as a receiver, he played just one game before being converted to a standout defender. Franks was a college teammate of 2009 CFL Outstanding Rookie, RB Martell Mallett. Since college, he’s suited up for the Arkansas Rhinos of the North American Football League and Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League.

Sullivan began his football career as a quarterback in high school and by the end of his collegiate days, he had been converted to a shutdown defensive back. The athletically-gifted Sullivan played just one season at Johnson C. Smith University before getting noticed by the AF2 League, NFL’s Carolina Panthers and the CFL.
