Irwin, 24, played in 45 games last season with the Marlies, collecting 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) to go along with 37 penalty minutes. The Toronto, Ontario native scored his first AHL/professional goal on October 16, 2010 against the Hamilton Bulldogs. The 6’5, 211-pound forward missed the final 33 games of the 2010-11 regular season due to injury.
