Three members of Toronto FC have received call-ups to the Canadian national team ahead of qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup in October.
Midfielders Julian de Guzman and Terry Dunfield return to the national team after playing earlier this month for Canada. Joining them is defender Ashtone Morgan, the young left back earns his first call to the senior squad. de Guzman has earned 49 caps in his career for Canada and scored four goals while Dunfield has seven caps to his name and one goal for Canada. Morgan featured for Canada in 2010 at the Under-20 level and was part of the U-16 program earlier in his career.
Canada will travel to St. Lucia to play on October 7, and then host Puerto Rico at BMO Field on October 11 at 7:00 p.m. Canada currently sit atop the Group D standings with six points from two matches.
