The 3rd Annual Peacock Ball is a fundraising gala in support of the ehcw on March 13, 2015 at the Claireport Banquet Hall.
The peacock symbolizes some of the most admired human characteristics including;
• Benevolence • Patience
• Kindness • Compassion
• Good-will • Nurturing
It is a cross-cultural symbol of integrity and the beauty we can achieve when we endeavor to show our true colors. Here at the Centre we empower women who have survived abuse to rebuild their lives and to show their true colours to the world. The Peacock Ball brings our community together to celebrate these women who have made positive changes in their lives, significant contributions to our community, and who are an inspiration to others.
Funds raised at the Peacock Ball will go to the Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women to help us develop a community of empowered women by connecting them with meaningful employment to ensure that they can live a dignified, active life as contributing community members.
