Google has now launched Google Music, a media locker that is functional on all Apple iOs devices. Through this web app, users will be able to access nearly 20,000 songs on the server. The Amazon Cloud Player has also been launched in order to build a strong user base.
Earlier, when Google made its cloud locker, it was only made available to Android Phones that were running Android 2.2 or higher. However, with the launch of the music player, Google has now extended its customer base attracting Apple iOs products as well.
In terms of the offerings of Google Music, it is reported that Google might be designing an iTunes-like player with a subscription model as well.
The web app has also saved Google the approval process that a standalone app has to undergo at Apple. The webapp opens in Safari. By using the iOs functions the users can control the music and can even store up to 25MB worth of music in the cache.
Apple is all set to release its iCloud in this fall. On the other hand, Google is also planning to develop more apps for Music.
