Machete star Danny Trejo, 75, admits he started out as a young criminal with a drug and drinking problem, and now he’s a movie star and an entrepreneur! Danny and his partners opened Trejo’s Tacos here in Los Angeles in 2016, and it was an instant hit. Since then he’s opened six more locations and added a Trejos Coffee & Donuts in Hollywood. Danny says his food is California influenced and healthier than other fast foods, with lots of vegetable options. Expanding outside of California is next, but Echo Park born Danny still has time to visit local high schools to tell kids all about what he did WRONG when he was their age, and hopefully inspire them.
