LOVE this photo! Back in the sixties, both Dave Davies of The Kinks andAndy Warhol actor Joe Dallesandro were both Bad Boys, but they never met until recently. Dave recalls meeting Andy Warhol when The Kinks played in New York, but he and Joe don’t remember being introduced.(By the way, Dave says that contrary to popular belief, the Kinks song “Lola” was NOT written about Candy Darling!) Friends brought them together recently in Los Angeles where Dave is recording a solo album due out in the fall. That doesn’t bode well for a Kinks reunion tour- but we still have our fingers crossed!
