We all know that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the role of a sensuous poetess in Karan Johar’s recent directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress was also the love interest of Ranbir Kapoor and they had many intimate scenes. It was in a long time since Dhoom 2 when Aishwarya chose to do a bold role.

There have always been reports that the Bachchans are conservative and were on not board with Aishwarya’s role in the film. Though nobody ever said anything, Abhishek Bachchan had recently praised his wife’s role. Now hopping the praise train is none other than father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan who had a few words to say about her.
At the inauguration of Kolkata International Film Festival 2016, Amitabh Bachchan talked how the cinema is changing by featuring strong female characters in the movies which are related to the rights and social progress of women in the country. Talking about the same, the megastar said that Aishwarya’s character Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil ‘turned the tables on men’.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently shooting for Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 3.
