Earlier we had reported that Deepika Padukone will making a brief appearance in the upcoming directorial debut of Dinesh Vijan titled Raabta. The actress will apparently be a part of the item song and now we hear that the said track is the popular romantic song ‘Raabta’.
Featuring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the song ‘Raabta’ from the film Agent Vinod turned out to be one of the top chartbusters. Now it will be recreated for the Dinesh Vijan film and considering that the title too has been inspired by it, the filmmaker was more than happy to have it in his film. Revealing about the same, Dinesh expressed that he always wished about using the song for the movie and even had an elaborate discussion with Pritam on the same.
Dinesh also mentioned that Deepika was more than happy to do the song since it was one of her favourite tracks. However, he refused to divulge details on the singer and so on. Readers may be aware that the original was sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Goshal. From what we hear, the said song for Raabta has already been shot using castle-on-water backdrop in Budapest.
Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in the lead, Raabta is produced by Dinesh in association with Homi Adajania and Bhushan Kumar. The film is slated to release on February 10 next year.
