Sushant-Singh-Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput has been riding high on the success of his recent film, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Without wasting too much time celebrating the success, the actor dived right into the preparations for Homi Adajania’s Takadum. However, now that the schedule of the film has been postponed, the actor plans to revive his love for theatre.

Sushant Singh Rajput is currently contemplating on doing a two-character play with his friend Naved Aslam. Apparently, Sushant met his friend recently and during their chilling session as they continued to talk on a varied range of topics from art to music, the duo developed an idea for a play. Further, they went on to research by reading several books and finally narrowed down on three subjects for the same.

Sushant Singh is thrilled about gearing up for the play as the actor revealed that he is unable to get scripts and roles that challenge him to get him out of his comfort zone. Talking about the play, Sushant revealed that they are planning on scripting 60-90 minute play. He also stated that he plans on doing the plays during weekends before he gets into his film commitments and then dabble between shoot schedules for the same.

Talking about the stage and the excitement, Sushant said that one has to ensure that they reach the man sitting in the last row and don’t forget the lines. He recalled an incident about one of the early plays in his career when he had to step on to the stage, deliver the lines and wait around while Nadira Babbar and another co-actor finished a conversation before he had to make his exit. He said that he was well rehearsed and had no problem with his lines. But, while he was waiting, he had no idea what to do between their lines. He got fidgety and he learned an important lesson about acting that an actor’s best shots are not the ones where one delivers the lines with aplomb, but the ones where one has to silently react to what someone else is saying.

While Sushant Singh Rajput plans to kick off his play around the end of January or early February next year, he will soon start Takadum that also stars Parineeti Chopra and Irrfan Khan in prominent roles and the film is slated to go on floor in mid-February.
