Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan attend mandatory marriage counselling

Since mid-2016, speculations are rife about trouble brewing between the favourite Khan couple, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora. Amidst continuous rumours of reconciliation and separation, Arbaaz and Malaika who maintained a dignified silence on their relationship status filed for divorce after Diwali break this year.

Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan announced about their separation on social media after articles continued to pour about their rocky marriage. But neither couple spoke about divorce. And now, the two were recently spotted at the Bandra court in Mumbai for their first mandatory marriage counselling session. According to divorce law, the couple’s next hearing for divorce will be scheduled after six months – the time period provided for couples impending divorce in order to give their relation another chance to reconcile. The duo had arrived separately with their respective lawyers, Kranti Sathe and Amruta Sathe and apparently also had a long discussion with the judge during the session.

Followed by their announcement of separation, several pictures on social media showcasing the couple attending family functions and events together fuelled up rumours of the duo reconsidering their decision. It was also being said that Arbaaz and Malaika wanted to retain the ‘separated’ status instead of going the legal way of divorce. However, when they filed for divorce by mutual consent a couple of months ago, all the rumours of reconciliation was put to rest.

Filmmaker, producer, actor Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan have been married for 17 years and the couple has a son named Arhaan.
