Esha Gupta supports an aspiring Olympian

Last seen in Commando 2, Esha Gupta is gearing up for her forthcoming ventures but that hasn’t deterred her spirit from contributing to the society and helping people. While she has always been a believer in dreams and working hard to achieve them, she recently decided to help one such aspiring sports player.

Reportedly, Esha Gupta lent a helping hand to ice skater Nikhil Pingle to help him get one step closer to achieve his dream. Esha learnt that Nikhil has been performing consistently well in competitions across India. He is now looking to train at the Olympic training facility in Canada, for which he needs financial support. She wanted to help. She made the donation through a crowd funding website and also spoke to friends and family to support Nikhil and help him via the crowd funding initiative. She has also been actively following up on the progress for Nikhil.

Sources close to the actress said, “She knew about Nikhil through a friend and found out details because she was keen to help him in whatever way possible.”

Elaborating on the same, Esha said, “I learnt about Nikhil from a friend. Being a sports enthusiast I would love to promote all sports, especially the ones still not recognized in our country yet. There is so much burgeoning talent in our country, but most of the people don’t make it because they don’t get a chance.” She also added, “A lot of people have reached out to me and my team. We should be able to raise enough funds for Nikhil to train for Olympics.”

On the film front, Esha Gupta is currently shooting for Baadshaho which stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’Cruz among others.
