Amitabh Bachchan wins the Twitter race

Bollywood celebs took to it like fish to water; we are talking about the social networking site Twitter. With Bollywood celebs using the interactive platform to express not just their views but even to promote their films, it seems much like a race to see who emerges as top dog when it comes to the number of followers. That’s where legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan left the rest of the stars far behind.

Bachchan took twitter by storm in 2010 and has emerged as the pack leader with 1,850,903 followers and 11,108 tweets, out beating last year’s twitter queen Priyanka Chopra, who stands at second position with 1,841,804 followers and 5,693 tweets.

While other biggies like cricketer Sachin Tendulkar came third with 1,786,243 followers and Shah Rukh Khan landed on the fourth position with 1,612,989 followers. The Perfectionist Khan came fifth with 1,506,083 followers while Bollywood’s bhai Salman ranked sixth with 1,485,203 followers.
