Aamir Khan has given several performances in his career which have been award worthy. But, it has been a while since the actor attended any award show to receive any kind of honour. But, breaking his rule, Aamir Khan attended an award after 16 years.
On Monday, Aamir Khan was honoured with Vishesh Puraskar at the 75th Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards. The honour was for his performance in Dangal which was one of the biggest hits of 2016. He was honoured by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Lata Mangeshkar was present to honour Aamir Khan.
Veteran actress Vyanjathimala was another recipient of the award. The last time Aamir Khan had attended an award show was 16 years ago at the Academy Awards when Lagaan was nominated in the Best Film category.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan will soon be seen in his own production titled Secret Superstar in an extended cameo. He is also prepping up for YRF’s Thugs of Hindostan that also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
