Looks like 2017 has been a great year for Adnan Sami. It is in this year that he started work on his acting debut Afghan – In Search Of A Home, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. The first look of the film was out in June and it was widely praised. Before that, his wife Roya Faryabi gave birth to a baby girl on May 8 in Munich, Germany, where Roya’s family is based.
In July, Adnan Sami released the pictures of his girl, named Medina. These images were highly adorable and put a smile on everyone’s faces.
And now Adnan Sami is out with a new set of images that grab attention even more. It features Adnan Sami, Roya, Medina paying a visit to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Medina was in Munich till now and she is quite lucky to get such a warm welcome from the Prime Minister itself. The pictures feature all four of them looking content in each other’s company. Narendra Modi can be seen playing with Medina and playfully pulling her cheeks. Adnan Sami got sweets and dates from the city of Medina which he gladly offered to Modi.
A few days after Medina’s birth, Adnan had revealed that she was named after the city of Medina, which embraced Prophet Mohammed when he was forced to leave Mecca. He also admitted that thanks to Medina, he now better understands the entire concept of ‘daddy’s girl’.
Adnan was granted Indian citizenship last year on New Year’s Day in 2016 and his joy knew no bounds at that point. Since Medina was born in Germany, she is German by birth. But Adnan had made it clear that Medina is still a Hindustani and that he’ll apply for her Indian citizenship soon. The long drawn process to get a citizenship is very well known to Adnan – it took him almost 13 years to be called an Indian – and it has not deterred him to apply for Medina’s citizenship.
