He is the eternal superstar who often rules the box office every year. Aamir Khan is all set for the unconventional film Secret Superstar which stars his Dangal daughter Zaira Wasim as an aspiring singer. On the other hand, he plays a rather interesting character, that of Shakti Kumar.
Musician Shakti Kumar played by Aamir Khan may not be the protagonist of the film but his pivotal cameo is a turning point in the film. But this creepy, off-the-market, wannabe musician not only has a crazy personality but also has looks that would probably make you love or hate him but never ignore him. Here’s a video presenting the making of Shakti Kumar.
Aamir Khan, who rarely styles it up in real life, had to try on some stuff that he has probably never done in his life which included spiked hair and tight tees. Costume Designer sort of described the mentality of Shakti Kumar saying that ‘he probably considers his look really cool but it isn’t true’, followed by a cringe-worthy expression of Zaira.
On the other hand, talking about his character was his other Dangal girl, Sanya Malhotra, who said, ‘Ek number ke badtameez insaan hai Shakti Kumar.’ [He is a number one bratty person in the film]. Adding to it was Aamir Khan who believes that Shakti Kumar imbibes almost every bad quality including flirting.
The video also featured Aamir Khan suggesting that some of the styles should be tried out on the team members in order to narrow down the kind of beard, hair etc. that Shakti Kumar will don in the film. After the same, Aamir was seen recommending and making suggestions on the said list until he finalized the look he sported in Secret Superstar.
It also has Aamir Khan trying out different tees for his role in the film. Trying on several t-shirts, the one he selected will definitely give you the creeps, especially if you are a fashion lover! Even though his off screen image is subtle and stylish, Aamir Khan was ready to take the risk to try on something that is the complete opposite of his real self.
