‘Race 2’ completes its second schedule

Tips Films’ Race 2, the much talked about sequel to the 2008 blockbuster Race, readies for its release, having completed its second schedule last month.

Directed by duo Abbas-Mastan, the highly-anticipated action thriller from the house of Tips completed its second schedule through the month of Jan-Feb with star-cast Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel.

Talking about the film, director Abbas says, “Race 2 is in the same genre and will be made on as grand a scale as the original. We will be shooting in Turkey and Cyprus next. The story has plenty of twists and turns and every character will have grey shades”.

Says producer Ramesh Taurani, “We shot the second schedule of the film from 23rd Jan to 24th Feb. It took off smoothly and we are very happy with the way things are shaping up. We are very excited and hope to make Race 2 bigger and better than the original.”

Race 2 is scheduled for a tentative November release.
