What seemed like Rajinikanth’s territory has been taken advantage of by quite a few Bollywood actors as well. When it comes to punch-lines in ‘masala’ action movies, superstars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn have enjoyed quite a few crowd friendly dialogues on the recent past. Now join Akshay Kumar in the list. In his big summer release Rowdy Rathore, he would be mouthing dialogues that are all set to remind audience of Rajinikanth’s spicy one liners.

“There are going to be at least half a dozen punch-lines that Akshay would be throwing in Rowdy Rathore. He is back to ‘masala’ action in a big way with the film and understands that to woo masses, it is of paramount importance that there are ‘seeti maar’ dialogues being mouthed. Bollywood had somehow ignored this formula for years before Rajinikanth brought it back. While everyone from Salman, Shah Rukh and Ajay has realized the importance of this, even Akshay isn’t letting go off this opportunity”, informs a source.

The fact that Rowdy Rathore is a Prabhu Deva film only makes it all the more obvious that there would be a lot of fiery stuff happening on screen. One such major punch-line mouthed by Akshay is on the lines of ‘Jo Main Kehta Hoon Woh Main Karta Hoon. Aur Jo Main Nahi Kehta Woh Main Definitely Karta Hoon‘. Though similarities with ‘Ek Baar Jo Maine Committment Kar Di‘ (Wanted) can’t be ignored here, the fact that more and more actors are joining the fray only makes it all the spicier.

“Shah Rukh went all the way back to the 70s and revived ‘Don Ko Pakadna Mushkil Hi Nahi…..‘ in Don and Don 2. Salman has been living punchlines in films like, Ready (I, Me and Myself) and Bodyguard (Mujh Par Ek Ehsaan Karna). Ajay Devgn too invited applause with Singham (Jisme Hai Dam, Woh Faqt Bajirao Singham). Now it is Akshay who is playing to the gallery with Rowdy Rathore“, informs an insider.

This is evident from the fact that while ‘Jo Main Kehta Hoon…’ is being designed as a major promotional peg, also in line are other punches like ‘Don’t Angry Me’ and ‘Naam Rathore, Vikram Rathore’.
