Amid cancer treatment, Sonali Bendre enjoys a day with books in New York

Sonali Bendre, known for her girl next door roles in films like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Sarfarosh, Major Saab etc, revealed recently that she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. After the unexpected diagnosis, they decided to take swift and immediate action and headed to New York for the treatment. The actress is getting properly treated for her high-grade cancer. Meanwhile, she is enjoying moments of her life with family and close friends who have been a big support system for her. The actress recently enjoyed time at a bookstore in NYC.

On the occasion of Book Lovers Day today, Sonali Bendre took to Instagram to share a picture of her enjoying time reading a book at a bookstore. Sporting a white shirt and a hat, she is cherishing these sweet and lovely moments in her life.

Sonali, who is an avid book lover and often hosts book club events, wasn’t present in Mumbai this due to her treatment. She is the author of “The Modern Gurukul – My Experiments with Parenting”. She also runs a book club since 2017. But, recently, her close friends made sure to celebrate Friendship Day by running the book club event on her behalf. She shared a picture of her friends Dia Mirza, Gayatri Oberoi and Sussanne Khan hosting the session.

Having such good friends in life, Sonali shared a heartwarming post praising them. She wrote, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… “I have the best friends in the world!” Thank you sooooo much @gayatrioberoi, @suzkr and @diamirzaofficial for coming together to celebrate Friendship Day with #SBC… I had so much fun watching this… So glad some of my influence has rubbed off on you hahaha. Sonali Bendre was last seen judging the reality show India’s Best Dramebaaz. Actress Huma Qureshi has stepped in and replaced the actress.
