USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…This week's big Yashraj release Ishaqzaade which opens today has a shocker of an ending. One wouldn't like to give away the finale just hours before release. Suffice it to say that this is the first Yashraj film which ends on such an emphatically dark and violent note.

So far all of Yashraj Films from the time he launched his own production banner with Daag in 1973 have tried to opt for happy endings.

Now for the first time in Ishaqzaade a banner known for its feelgood films has gone for a decidedly and irrevocably dark ending.

Says a source, "Even when a film like Daag or Lamhe had the potential of ending tragically, Yashji swerved the plot at the penultimate moment away from darkness into the light. He loves to send the audience packing on a positive note."

Apparently an alternative "happy" ending was kept ready, just in case the movers & shakers at Yashraj decided against a grim culmination.
