Mumbai: Indian Idol show, the much popular singing fiesta, is coming back to the channel for its sixth season. Last year, instead of Indian Idol X-Factor was aired on the channel ‘Sony TV’. The show did not succeed among the masses and it did not get the TRP as per the expectations. Thus the channel is now returning with Indian Idol, the show which always gets huge TRP and people would love to watch it. Indian Idol is on the format of the Idol, the show which runs in various countries with the same designed format. In India, it completed five successful seasons and now with its sixth season, the show is all set to hit the screen.

The promotional activities on the channel and among the media have been started off. The three judges – Anu Malik, Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant will be there to judge the contestants. The channel now has the mega suspense for the audiences this time around. Indian Idol is going to add another judge to its panel. Thus there would be four judges on the panel now and the fourth judge is none other than music maestro A R Rahman. The reports say that he has been approached by the channel and now the show’s makers are waiting his answer.

If Rahman says ‘yes’, he will be seen in Gala Round. He might say ‘no’ due to his heavy work schedules. If he says ‘no’, then the makers will go for another big name of the music industry. It is being said that the new season of Indian Idol will be the mega successful and be an interesting package for the viewers. From 1st June onwards, the show will start airing on the channel. Moor the belts to have a joyride with Indian Idol Season Six.
