Check Out Indian Filmmakers bond at Cannes 2012

Indian filmmakers are making a big splash at the 65th Cannes Film Festival as many independent Indian films are being showcased at the festival this year.

Directors Suman Mukhopadhyay, Anurag Kashyap, Nila Madhab Panda, Onir and actor-producer Sanjay Suri participated in a session at the festival's Producer's Network as a part of the Indian contingent. They bonded big time at the festival.
Bengali filmmaker Suman Mukhopadhyay's three films namely Herbert, Chaturanga and Mahanagar@Kolktata were selected to be screened at the festival.

National Award winning film, I Am Kalam director Nila Madhab Panda's second film Jalpari-The Desert Mermaid, which deals with the issue of female foeticide, was lauded with a standing ovation by the buyers and audience from around the world.

Anurag Kashyap's two-part revenge saga Gangs Of Wasseypur has also been selected as a part of The Directors' Fortnight, while his home production, Vasan Bala's Peddlers has been selected in competition at the Critics' Week.
